This was a great tip Joseph! I love your Cup of Joe!
Great Tip! I had to do this before I started using Scrivener when I realized that my protag had a semi famous name. Word is not quite as easy. :) Thanks, Coach!
Thanks for the informative video, Joseph. You said the Replace step couldn't be undone, but if you did change your mind, couldn't redo the Replace and change Susan back to Dorothy?
Yep, you certainly can ;-)
Thank you just found this joe,s coffee email how often do you do them?
Cup of Joe goes out once a week with a new tip, training, resource :-)
A little different on a PC. Only does find/replace on current document unless you are in Scrivenings mode. (At least according to my manual.)
Yes, and thank you for your great instruction! Love these videos that I can keep going back to for visual, auditory, and yes, good help.
Terrific tip. This was helpful.
Cool. Easy and clear instruction, as always. Great job, Joe. I am loving your Cup of Joe. What an extra fun anticipation for Friday's. :)
Hey, Joe, finally caught up on your Cups of Joe and am finding them enjoyable and informative.
Question on the project replace though. If you had not checked the "whole word only" wouldn't it have changed the Dorothy's as well as the Dorothys, so it would be one step instead of two? Haven't bought Scrivener yet so I can't test this myself.
One more question. Is there a timeline app that works with Scrivener which allows multiple timelines? I need at least four for my historical novel, and might use five or six. From your demo of Scrapple (is that what it's called?) it looks like I could draw multiple timelines but I'd love an easier way.
Love the Cup of Joe's! Great tips.
